The Model Cook Daniel Green takes you through an easy but delicious way to make Tuna Tartare inspired by his favourite culinary city, Bangkok. Working on the patio of the luxurious Ku De Ta on the 39th floor of Sathorn Square Tower, Daniel creates a dish which matches his surroundings.
It’s easy and sure to please:
1/2 pound tuna (raw, sushi grade)
3 – 4 small, fresh chili peppers
1/3 cup chopped shallots
a handful (1/3 cup) cilantro
1 small avocado
a sprinkle of soy sauce (approximately 1 teaspoon)
2 – 3 tablespoons of sesame oil
Cut tuna into small cubes and finely chop the chilli peppers. Combine in a bowl with sesame oil, chopped shallots and cilantro. Add soy sauce and cubed avocado to taste. Then mix, plate and serve.
