New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced at his press conference on March 25th that the Four Seasons New York on swanky 57th Street, would be offering accommodation free of charge to the city’s beleaguered medical personnel. This is a lovely property where we have spent many a night, so it’s really gratifying to see one of the world’s great hotels doing such a great thing for a great city. The Four Seasons is proving that corporate social responsibility really matters to them, and we respect that.
The hotel which was designed by I.M. Pei is located on “Billionaires’ Row” at one of the city’s most prestigious addresses between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. But like many Four Seasons’ properties, it’s a destination unto itself.
Given the enormity of the outbreak in New York and the challenging conditions these healthcare professionals face, we’re thrilled to think that they’ll get to avoid their commute and relax and rest up in a great hotel. They deserve it.
We love this property and have enjoyed many a great stay here. It is wonderfully located in one of the swankiest and priciest neighborhood’s in the world, the service is impeccable and the food and beverage offerings always impress.
Governor Cuomo says more hotels are set to follow. As constant travelers who support the industry significantly each year, we’re happy to see hoteliers giving back. We thank each and everyone of them and the people who are working hard at each hotel to care for the guests who remain and the medical personnel who we know will greatly appreciate the help.
This is why New York is such a great city.
