My Top 10 New York Eats

In my job I get to travel the world constantly and try great food all across the globe. But one thing I never forget is just how great the NYC food scene really is. So here’s my Top 10 fav places to take a slice out of the Big Apple.

Fresco By Scotto shares his Top 10 pleases to chow down in New York
This is Italian American food at its best. What sets this apart is the warm friendly family that runs it. The Scotto’s make you feel like you are eating with the family. Always buzzy and never out of vogue.

Todd English Food Hall
It reminds me of a mini Harrods. Patisseries, sushi and even Frozen Yoghurt – Best of all the salad dressing created by the one and only Daniel Boulud. Todd English has really created something modern and unique at the iconic Plaza Hotel.

Heartwood Pizza
People that have a passion for food and was opened in 2014 and the Pizzas are fresh, made like in Italy and have a fantastic variety.

Villagio
I LOVE this place in Bal Harbour Florida- Then they opened in Merric Park in Coral Gables, Sawgrass mall latter than there is one on the Park in NYC. Octopus salad is the best I have ever had.

Milos
I love real fresh seafood and simple ways to cook it. Here is the best variety you can find in the city and they don’t complicate the cooking of it. Grilled to perfection with rock salt, olive oil and fresh lemons- WOW!

Daniel
This is still a gastronomic experience. From the aroma of white truffle to the theatre of French extravagant meets the NYC crowd. You will never be disappointed at a meal here.

Kittichai
Ian Kittichai has a background from Bangkok to London and then NYC, and it shows in his cuisine. His restaurant in NY is as authentic as the one in the heart of Bangkok. Great Thai food whatever city you are in.

Koi
I don’t normally like chains when they over expose but Koi still has it. Fusion food at its best. Los Angeles and NY are best and it does surprisingly well in Bangkok, considering the price for that city. It always has a very chic crowd.

Kat’z Deli
There really is no other place than NYC, where you can get pastrami and bagels with lox (this is an NY word for smoked salmon) like this in the world. It has such a following that they ship nationwide and I know people that do this, even all the way to Minneapolis. Chicken soups that mum made too.

Gramercy Tavern
One of my first New York hit lists in 1992 where you could NOT get a table for months.
Today it still holds a level of modern and fabulous food that has flair and innovate twists.
Great people watching too.
