Bangkok Delicious

My Menu for the NEW Water library Bangkok – The Capital @ Empire Tower Sathorn

Water library is a very exclusive restaurant in Bangkok. There are four locations of Water Library,  and it’s the place to be seen in Bangkok right now. That’s saying something in a city with over 100,000 restaurants. At Water Library the food is all about opulence, bringing gastronomic cuisine to the customer.

I had the opportunity to design my own menu for one night at the newest location – The Capital at Embassy Tower building on Sathorn Road and I used all organic produce.

As I specialize in healthy eating I wanted to prove to a sophisticated Hi So clientele (Hi So is a Thai term for High Society people) that I could make a fabulous meal that was low fat, low in carbohydrates, gluten-free, PALEO and most importantly flavourful.

I want to do a dinner that was guilt free but delicious.

My menu that consisted of:
A crab and avocado tower with salmon eggs
Followed by mushroom and white truffle oil soup
A choice of fillet mignon with pomegranate sauce in red wine or my signature miso salmon
Followed by a meringue  with passion fruit

The Capital by Water Library

The location is exquisite. It looks like a steakhouse in New York City overlooking the chaos of Bangkok.  And so this space makes for a great dining experience.

Bangkok’s restaurant scene is exploding right now with world class freestanding venues. This is different than in the past when most well known restaurants were attached to a hotel. This isn’t the case anymore and the owner of Water Library certainly has his finger on the pulse; his locations draw crowds from locals and tourists who want to experience the best. The High Society of Thailand all dine at water library.

When I designed this menu it was the pre-launch of the restaurant. Today is open and it’s worth checking out. If you go let me know what you think, I’m sure you’ll love it.
