The Hyatt Regency Johannesburg is located in the Rosebank neighbourhood making is close to the Sandton CBD and other attractions. It’s adjacent to the Zone@Rosebank and Rosebankmall offering shopping and eateries within a very short walk. It also is about 100 meters from the Rosebank station of the Gautrain which is the fastest way to and from O.R. Tambo International Airport making this a very convenient location.
Our room was an upgraded King Suite on the 4th floor close to the excellent Regency Club which served breakfast and evening snack and drinks.
It featured a large living room and work area which opened onto a solarium and small balcony.
The suite wasn’t the most luxurious but it was spacious, quiet, comfortable and provided lots of space to work, relax and get ready for an African safari early the next morning.
Despite the construction going on across the street, there was no noise and no interruptions whatsoever.
The bed was quite comfortable while the bathroom was sizeable with a walk in shower, bathtub and separate vanity area.
All were clad in granite and marble.
The Hyatt Regency Johannesburg made for a comfortable, enjoyable stopover upon arriving in South Africa. It’s a hotel we wouldn’t hesitate recommending.
