The Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse is a new hotel in a city that is known for its many epic hotels. To stand out a property has to be unique and operate at the highest level. Fortunately the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse ticks all the boxes.
First off its central location is close the shops on Silom Road, near the excitement of Chinatown, within walking distance of the Chao Phraya River and is nestled next to the temples and attractions on Surawongse Road. And its rooms and suites are comfortable, casual and perfectly suited for leisure or business travelers.
Our room was the large 65 sqm (around 700 sq ft) one bedroom residential suite which features a large kitchenette with laundry, which is a handy feature.
The comfortable bedroom with a large and comfortable king bed connects via a nice sized closet with the marble bath which has both a large soaking tub and walk-in shower.
The bathroom is quite a generous size and very well laid out.
The bedroom has a large screen TV plus a comfortable sitting area and work area.
While the living room was well appointed for both entertaining and relaxing.
The property also offers a host of amenities, including a 24 hour fitness centre, a tapas bar at the Pool on the 18th floor, the Praya Kitchen which offers twists on Thai street food, the Lobby Lounge, Yao Restaurant which is Chinese and the Yao Rooftop Bar with lovely views of the skyline. It also has a nice M Club executive lounge.
We quite like the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse and will be back. In a city with as many excellent hotels as Bangkok, that’s a high recommendation.
