BJ FOoDiEs is Back with 京A’s Brewer’s Brunch

As we welcome back warmer weather this Spring (it’s rainy and dreary now, but meant to warm straight back up in time for the weekend), it’s high time that we start getting out more during the day to soak up some much needed Vitamin D! Whether you’re nursing a hangover or not quite ready to wrap up the weekend, Sundays are always 100x more spectacular when you have a boozy brunch scheduled!

Jing-A Taproom: Brewer's Brunch Menu

Who needs coffee when you’ve got Beergarita and Beer Belly-ni on the menu?!

Jing-A Taproom may be one of your go-to hang-out spots for post-work drinks or just some really good craft beer, but I’d like to take the opportunity to show you a side of Jing-A you might not be as familiar with – their FOOD MENU.

Their newly updated “Brewer’s Brunch” features 3 courses beginning with a Bread & Dips Board to share, your choice out of 7 different main (you’re spoiled for choice!) and a pineapple “Cheesecake” dessert made with greek yogurt, caramelized pineapple chunks and homemade granola. *droooooool*

They’ve partnered with Chef Simone Thompson of The Hatchery to revamp their Spring brunch menu.

“In reworking the brunch classics like our eggs benedict and corned beef hash, Simone has brought high-quality ingredients to the table including free-range eggs, house-cured bacon, thick-crust sourdough toast and more!”

In sharing a passion (and slight obsession) with all things pickled, fermented and cured with Simone, I’m delighted to share this new Brunch collaboration by Jing-A + The Hatchery –

Selected Event Charity: St. Joseph’s Orphanage

St. Joseph's Orphanage

An orphanage located in Renqiu, they are desperately looking for funds to repair their roof after a harsh Beijing winter and we want to help! A group of dedicated volunteers will be planning a trip to St. Joseph’s orphanage to spend the day with the children playing music and playing games on March 29th. Details to come this Sunday!

As always, your RMB 100 goes directly to our host restaurant for an awesome meal (Jing-A Taproom) and 100% of donations will be given to our selected charity (St. Joseph’s Orphanage).

St. Joseph's Orphanage

For those who are not familiar with the FOoDiEs concept, they organize monthly charity dinners at different restaurants each month at an amazing price between RMB 100-150 per person (for a meal worth much more its value) so that guests will feel extra generous to the sponsored organization that month.

The RMB 100 for this month’s dinner will be paid directly to the hosting restaurant and guests will be introduced to a representative of the sponsored organization and envelopes will be passed out during the main course so that after the organization representative has introduced their cause, guests can anonymously donate as they wish! Our hope is that the more satisfied with the generous meal, the more generous you’ll be with your wallet!

Donations are accepted in both cash form and WeChat transfers (I always bring extra cash for your transfer donations).
