Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines recently announced that it will expand its U.S. presence with the launch of nonstop flights from Seattle to Taipei, starting August 16, and reservations are now open for booking. This strategic new route marks the airline’s third U.S. gateway after Los Angeles and San Francisco, offering U.S. travelers direct flights to Taipei and seamless connectivity to 21 Asian destinations. In addition, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is also the hub of STARLUX’s partner Alaska Airlines, enabling travelers bound for Asia to easily transfer upon arrival at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The new Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) route will depart thrice weekly.
“STARLUX’s broadened trans-Pacific routes reaffirm our dedication to expanding our U.S. network and to elevating the travel experience for our fast-growing customer base,” said Glenn Chai, STARLUX CEO. “As a key economic and technological hub, Seattle is also steeped in diverse cultural influences and home to a thriving Asian community. Moreover, we have finally arrived at the hub of our partner Alaska Airlines. We believe STARLUX and Alaska Airlines will provide seamless service to travelers seeking to reach Asia. STARLUX looks forward to strengthening our connections between these major West Coast cities with Taipei and larger Asia, and to building bridges between these dynamic and vibrant regions.”
The Seattle–Taipei flights will operate on STARLUX’s next generation Airbus A350. That aircraft features four cabins—First (4 seats), business class (26 seats), premium economy (36 seats) and economy (240 seats)—giving passengers numerous options for the 6,000+ mile flight. STARLUX promises a premium onboard experience in every cabin class from earth-toned interiors to award-winning crew attire to curated in-cabin aromatherapy and Michelin-rated meals.
Guests on the new route will enjoy luxury service. A private space with a sliding door and seats with full-flat and Zero G mode for full relaxation greet travels in first and business. Extra-legroom and 40-inch RECARO seats with leg rest and footrest bar are hallmarks of premium economy. And seats built for utmost comfort, with leather headrest and wide seat pitch, are featured in economy. And all guests have seatback entertainment featuring 4K personal large screens.
To enjoy an at-home experience in the air, the new flights provide exquisite dining including Taiwanese signature dishes and amenities prepared for all-class passengers. And to bring greater individuality to their air travel experience, passengers can pre-order meals online so they can enjoy the meal they want.
Airline ticket reservations for departures to Taipei from August 16, 2024, onward can now be booked through travel agents and on www.starlux-airlines.com.
