As the world surpasses 20 million COVID-19 infections we thought it would be a good reminder to bring you this audio podcast of Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO Director-General. It’s a sobering and yet optimistic view of the future. It’s not over yet and we have to remain on our guard, but we now have more tools to help manage the Pandemic.
As the Director General notes, “Behind these statistics is a great deal of pain and suffering. Every life lost matters.
I know many of you are grieving and that this is a difficult moment for the world. But I want to be clear, there are green shoots of hope and no matter where a country, a region, a city or a town is – it’s never too late to turn the outbreak around.”
The message we all need to take away is that, “it’s never too late to turn the outbreak around.” Please have a listen.
