Hotel Check-In: Hyatt Regency Waikiki

The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa is an ideal beach hotel located on Kalakaua Boulevard across from the world famous Duke Kahanamoku Statue in the heart of Waikiki Beach. It’s steps from the city core and a short distance from Diamond Head Crater. Quite simply this where you want to be.

This is a large property sprawling over two towers with a shopping promenade, meeting space, two restaurants, spa, fitness center, pool and an excellent Regency Club connecting them. The hotel has 1,230 rooms and suites, each with a private lanai.

Our room was an Ocean View High Floor which offered a generous 500 square feet, a king bed and breathtaking ocean views overlooking Waikiki Beach and the city.

The decor was crisp and clean with a very comfy bed, workspace and lounging couch.

The views from the lanai were absolutely breathtaking, day or night.

The service was attentive and friendly throughout, but the stars were the staff at the Regency Club Lounge. It was a great place to grab breakfast, snacks throughout the day and hors d’oeuvres and drinks in the evening on their lovely deck.

The sunsets were magnificent from this perch.

Ultimately most people come here for the beach, and from the Hyatt Regency Waikiki the entire ocean ups before you.

Somwhether you’re going to Honolulu for a conference, vacation or just a few nights in-between island hopping, this is a great hotel which should be on your list.
