Going On A Kid Friendly Texas Tour?

Being a mom, it’s often important to look out for different things in a vacation than other people. It’s got to not only be good for me but also suit my child as well. Luckily there are plenty of places in Canada and the US that meet these criteria, one, in particular, being The Longhorn State or Texas as its more commonly know. Keep reading for more information.

How to get there

Obviously, if you are traveling from Canada, then you have a few options on how to get there. You can, of course, drive if you want to. But do remember there that it is a long journey. Especially if you have kids to take with you. As no one wants to deal with them asking whether you arrived yet every half an hour!

If you do decide to go for it and drive, remember too that because you’re with be crossing a national border line, you will need a passport for both you and the kids.

A more realistic way to get there is probably to fly. Luckily, the state of Texas is blessed with many international airports that you can fly into like DFW in Arlington, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Most of them close to huge eclectic cities with loads of great things to do and awesome places to stay.

Where to stay

Of course, the place that you stay depends on a few different things. First of all, you need to consider what activities or place that you want to visit during your Texas stay the most. See the section below to help you do this.

Secondly, if you are traveling with kids, you will want somewhere that meets your budget and that also has great amenities like a swimming pool, such as the Holiday Inn Express Austin Airport in Texas. The benefits of staying at a hotel near the airport like that are that it makes getting to and from your flight and accommodation so much easier.

This is important when you have little ones because the flight itself can be pretty exhausting, even if you do provide them with plenty of activities to do during the journey. Let alone having to travel for hours once you have landed, to get to your hotel. Also, in particular, staying near the AUS airport is convenient. As it’s a central hub, and so perfect for getting to other places in the state.

Kid friendly activities

There is plenty y to do in Texas for the little ones. One such activity is Legoland Discovery. A place where they can play and build with the bricks and learn about structures and architecture to boot.  Then there is also the Zero Gravity Thrill Park, in Dallas, TX. Great for kids and parent s that are looking for something adrenaline fuelled.

There are also plenty of historical sights and natural wonders that the little ones are bound to find fascinating as well. Try Big Bend National Park if you want the kids to have the experience of getting back to nature. Then there is the Alamo Mission in San Antonio, the place where the famous battle took place. Something that is sure to fascinate the kids and give them some great memories their tour of Texas.
