ZIPAIR Tokyo, a low-cost carrier based in Japan, announced on Tuesday that it will start flying between Tokyo Narita and Vancouver International Airport on March 13, 2024. This will be the airline’s fourth destination in North America, after Los Angeles, San José Mineta, and San Francisco.
The new route will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The flight time is about nine hours from Tokyo to Vancouver, and 10 hours from Vancouver to Tokyo.
ZIPAIR Tokyo offers competitive fares and flexible services for passengers who want to customize their travel experience. The airline does not charge a fuel surcharge, and allows passengers to choose from various options, such as checked baggage, inflight meals, and seat selection.
Passengers who book the ZIP Full-Flat Value fare can enjoy a lie-flat seat in the business class cabin, as well as priority check-in, boarding, and baggage delivery. The Standard Value and U6 Standard Value fares are for economy class seats, with the latter being a special offer for passengers under 26 years old.
ZIPAIR Tokyo is a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, and was launched in 2020. The airline aims to connect Asia with the rest of the world, and plans to expand its network to more destinations in the future.
