Big news for frequent flyers, Singapore Airlines is launching a new daily non-stop service between the Lion City and the City by the Bay. Singapore’s new 17hr flight to Asia promises to be a game changer.
Starting on October 23rd Singapore Airlines will operate a daily non-stop flight between Singapore and San Francisco using their brand new Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The route will take nearly 17 hours and cover 13,600 kms. With this new flight the current Singapore-Seoul-San Francisco flight will be changed to become a Singapore-Seoul-Los Angeles service offering a second daily service to Los Angeles.
This route is made possible by Singapore Airlines’ new A350s. Singapore is the largest customer for the A350-900 to date with 67 firm orders for the base model and options on newer extended versions. These new Airbuses are designed to offer customers an improved travel experience with s higher ceilings, larger windows and an extra wide body and lightning designed to reduce jetlag.
The aircraft will be equipped with Singapore’s latest-generation cabin products including all-new Business, Premium Economy and Economy class seats, as well as the award winning KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system. Singapore’s new 17hr flight to Asia will cut tot travel time between the US and Singapore quite dramatically.
More connectivity between Asia and the US is always good and flying on the next generation planes is a bonus.
