The Thompson Hollywood is a great addition to the Hyatt portfolio. They acquired Two Roads Hospitality at the end of 2018. This is a property located in the heart of Hollywood (an area that is regentrifying) and designed by Tara Bernard & Partners. The result is a laidback California cool vibe.
We had a View Studio King which was large, well laid out and well appointed.
The Living Room and Bedroom was separated by a large screen TV and a well curated bookshelf. This gave the effect of space and allowed the view from the bedroom, but that also meant that there wasn’t any privacy between the sitting and sleeping area.
Of course the amenities were also quite enjoyable – what can we say we’re a sucker of Nespresso machines and endless coffee.
But this streamer was particularly a smart addition. I came in handy as we got ready for a big gala in LA.
And that’s another feature of this property, it’s quite conveniently located for people in the film and TV industry.
All-in-all we really liked the property, especially the rooftop restaurant. It’s a great way to ease into LA after a transcontinental flight.
