Central Vietnam is set to take center stage in the global golf tourism industry as Danang prepares to host the 12th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) from April 2-4, 2025. This prestigious event, organized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), will bring together key players from the golf tourism sector, further cementing the region’s reputation as one of the world’s most sought-after golf destinations.
The AGTC will shine an international spotlight on some of Vietnam’s finest golf courses, including Laguna Golf Lang Co, Montgomerie Links, and Ba Na Hills Golf Club—all core members of the Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC) collective. With Vietnam already recognized as one of the world’s fastest-growing golf tourism markets, hosting this major event will drive international exposure, strengthen partnerships with tour operators, and open doors for new tournaments and business opportunities.
“AGTC 2025 in Danang is a game-changer for golf tourism in Central Vietnam. It provides a platform to showcase our exceptional courses, hospitality, and the cultural richness of the region,” said Le Vo Hoang Van, Club Manager at Montgomerie Links.

A Boon for the Local Economy
Beyond enhancing Vietnam’s golf reputation, AGTC 2025 is expected to deliver substantial benefits to Danang’s tourism and hospitality sectors. Increased visibility and exposure will attract more inbound golf travelers, boosting revenue for hotels, restaurants, and other tourism-related businesses. Additionally, the event underscores the commitment of local authorities and tourism boards to advancing Danang’s golf industry, ensuring long-term growth and global recognition.
Golf Clubs Gearing Up for AGTC 2025
Montgomerie Links is making extensive preparations ahead of AGTC, focusing on familiarisation trips for international tour operators and media, ensuring its championship-level course and hospitality offerings make a lasting impression. The club is also refining its digital strategies, expanding outreach through online platforms, and enhancing its Stay & Play packages to appeal to international golfers.
Meanwhile, Ba Na Hills Golf Club, a two-time winner of IAGTO’s Golf Course of the Year award (2020 & 2024), views the convention as a pivotal opportunity to further establish itself on the global golf stage. The club plans to leverage its long-standing relationship with IAGTO to strengthen ties with leading golf tour operators, host site inspections, and showcase its award-winning layout.
“AGTC provides an extraordinary platform to showcase the diversity and world-class quality of golf in Central Vietnam,”said Simon Mees, General Manager of Ba Na Hills Golf Club. “With our mountainous setting, exceptional design, and commitment to bringing international tournaments to the region, Ba Na Hills Golf Club is excited to contribute to Danang’s rising status on the global golf stage.”
Further north, Laguna Golf Lang Co is preparing to use AGTC as a springboard to expand its reach in key international markets such as Australia, New Zealand, and other long-haul destinations. In April, the club will launch a new online booking platform allowing golfers to reserve tee times and book stay-and-play packages directly, while a dedicated B2B portal will facilitate industry partnerships and streamline collaboration.
“Our participation at AGTC 2025 reflects our commitment to making Laguna Golf Lang Co a leading global golf destination,” said Stephen Banks, Director of Golf at Laguna Lang Co. “With the launch of our online booking platform and the introduction of exclusive long-stay packages, we are elevating the experience for international golfers.”
