In the past three years of Cookie Monster Bake-Off events, we already know there is a lot of baking talent in Beijing as we’ve tasted some incredibly moreish cookies over the years. And it’s that time of year when we’re officially putting out the call for Beijing’s best bakers to begin submitting their recipe of choice for our annual bake-off event in March!
Co-hosted by The Hutong and yours truly, we are teaming up for the fourth annual Cookie Monster Charity Bake-Off, an eagerly anticipated event where you are encouraged to eat and buy delicious cookies in the name of supporting a worthwhile charity. Last year, the event raised RMB 10,133 for the Beijing Cultural Heritage Protection Center (CHP) and had previously raised funds for both BEAM and Bethel China.
If you’ve got a prized cookie recipe and you’d like to enter the 2017 Cookie Monster Charity Bake-Off and support a great cause, please email me directly: [email protected] with your cookie recipe along with a photo (to demonstrate that you have, in fact, made the cookie recipe yourself). Deadline for submissions is Monday, Feb. 13th!
To give you a sneak preview of what to expect, you can scroll through the snapshot summary of last year’s Cookie Monster Bake-Off. The Hutong saw over 125 cookie loving guests munch their way through 20 different cookies baked from scratch.
