The Freddie Awards are the annual award for travel loyalty programs. This year the annual gala was held on April 27th and included more than 4.2 million votes, from 237 countries, covering 223 loyalty programs.
Introduced in 1988 by InsideFlyer magazine’s Randy Petersen, the “Freddies” are named in honor of Sir Freddie Laker the upstart British airline pioneer. The goal of the Freddie Awards is to give voice to the frequent flyer and to honor the efforts of an industry that counts more than 300 million members worldwide.
