Mad respect to the little boutique hotel that could, and did! The Orchid is a remarkable boutique hotel designed to make you fall in love with Beijing.
A co-creation by a Tibetan and a Canadian, Youngcall and Joel have successfully built and operated The Orchid hotel for the past four year, “their dream living space in the heart of Beijing, who’s purpose was to show the world what the city is really all about”.

Hidden in the hutongs, The Orchid is a treasure waiting to be found and a little gem that I love to introduce to everyone who visits Beijing and is looking for a more unconventional living experience. Tough to find, but you’ll be blown away by the contrast after walking down this narrow hutong alleyway.
It’s not necessary an authentic take on Beijinger’s traditional hutong courtyard living, but rather “the ultimate refuge for tourists seeking a full-on upgrade to their China experience”.
Just one of many drop-dead gorgeous rooms of The Orchid
“We look back at FOUR WHOLE YEARS of our own Orchid-branded Beijing tourism; housing, feeding and reprogramming the lost visitors to our fine city and making them appreciate life here just as we do. Four years of wonderful chaos, continual growth, and of the sheer knowledge that we’ve already told about 10,000 people where to go for dinner.” – Joel Shucat, Co-Owner of The Orchid Boutique Hotel
Congrats to The Orchid team and we look forward to the opening of your second branch of The Orchid in Dashilar, a project that has still been in the works over the past two years, but hopefully (fingers crossed) will be opening in the very near future!
Stay Tuned for the NEXT Orchid opening in Dashilar!
