St Louis is famous for its amazing bakeries and cakes and the Gooey Butter Cake is right at the top of that list. This sugar dusted treat was created in the 1930’s when a German baker accidently mixed up the ingredients in a cake recipe but the disaster was so delicious it just stuck. St Louis doesn’t just cater for the sweet toothed visitors, however, it also has some seriously tempting savoury treats also. The St. Louis pizza is also a food to be reckoned with in the local area and has established itself as one of the locals favourite things about the city. The basis of the pizza comprises of three simple rules. Firstly the pizza must have a really thin base.
