A bustling farmers market that takes place every Sunday from 11AM to 5PM, the Farm to Neighbors event is keeping all hutong hipsters and residents happy and healthy with fresh, organic produce on a weekly basis.
Most people know this farmers market from their days in Modernista Bar on Baochao Hutong, but they’ve since moved to 4Corners Restaurant Bar as of last Sunday and will host here again this Sunday, Jan. 18th. 4Corners’ celebrity chef and owner Jun Trinh will be cooking up a feast with all the beautiful produce being showcased so make sure you head over to their bar area to grab a seat!
A snapshot from last week’s Farm to Neighbors Event at 4Corners
An event that has gained impressive traction with an abundance of crafty vendors who have each brought their specialty goods to cater to the crowds of health nuts, passionate foodies and curious Beijingers who want to discover all the rare and quirky goods you can’t find anywhere else.
Here’s their poster from the May Event
A concept created by Erica Huang, she “believes in the nurturing and healing potentials of real food for the well-being of our mind and body” and wanted to bring all the farmers located all the way out in Beijing’s suburbs to serve the local community based in Beijing’s hutongs.
Forget those big chain grocery stores and start planning your shopping trip by heading over to 4Corners and stocking up on quality goods from trust-worthy sources. You can find plenty of variety, here are some items you can expect to find at this week’s event –
