The Ultimate Paper Airplane

Designer Luca Iaconi-Stewart has been building a 1/60th scale Boeing B777 on and off, for nearly a decade. This obsession has become his search for the ultimate paper airplane. “It even blows my own mind,” he says. “I don’t know how I’ve done a lot of it.” Watch the video below to see the incredible details.

What began as a school project years ago has morphed into a Youtube sensation. Iaconi-Stewart has a good following of fellow aviation and modeling buffs who appreciate his attention to detail and deft handling of paper. “I really enjoy the sense of calm and mediation that it brings when I really get into the building process,” he says. “It’s really exhilarating when you get to the end and you see a component coming to life.”
