A number of Volunteers-Tourism and Ethical Tourism initiatives exist across Africa. One program we like very much is the offered by The Royal Portfolio which is a luxury boutique chain with properties as diverse as The Silo and La Residence. These are lovely properties with a very special charitable initiative. Their Foundation offers guests a way to give back to the local communities where they’re staying.
